The live charger data behind EVolt’s station map

The back office behind EVolt’s charging station map: EVolt’s team manages every station, provider and charging socket in one place, and charging points on the EVolt network update live. MERCIL also designed an on-site system to control and monitor charging over OCPP.

The client

The client's need

A station map that EVolt’s team can keep right

How we fitted it

Live network data plus hand-kept stations, and a local system for on-site charging

What we built

A station back office, and a charge monitoring design

Outcome

Station data EVolt’s team controls

  • Every station in one place

Network stations update on their own; the rest are added and edited in the back office.

  • A map they can rely on

Current status, sockets, fees and hours for each station on EVolt’s map.

  • Control without the cloud

A design for charging every car to a set target, with a record of each session.

  • From a LINE group to 97% customer satisfaction for MEMO Clothing

    MEMO Clothing

MEMO Clothing took every wholesale order through a LINE group. MERCIL redesigned the process and built a web app and back office for it: orders now take minutes instead of days, one admin does the work of four, and customer satisfaction rose from 53% to 97%.

  • What system integration really costs

Quotes for the same integration can differ tenfold between vendors. Most of the difference comes from what each quote leaves out.

  • Custom software or off-the-shelf: how to decide

Feature lists make ready-made products look like the safe choice. A better test is how far your process is from the one the product was built for, and who pays for the difference.
