The client

The client's need

Licensing sales run by hand, across separate tools

How we fitted it

From user flows to API specification in one design phase

What we built

Three modules, from first visit to renewal

Outcome

One workflow for sales reps and supervisors

  • Leads, trips and visits in one place

Venues, fees, trip plans and check-ins in one tablet app instead of separate tools.

  • Approval and a clear view

Leads and trips come to them for approval, and the sales summary shows every visit.

  • A design ready to build

Agreed flows, screens, permissions, API specification and sequence diagrams for all three modules.

  • From catalogue to streaming platforms: designing a music CMS

    Client under NDA

The design of a content management system for a major Thai music company: one catalogue of songs, albums and their media, cleaned and migrated from the old system, with contracts, requests for media and delivery to digital music platforms. MERCIL designed it in four phases, from UX/UI to architecture, APIs and data.

  • Redesigning a maintenance system with evidence from its users

    Client under NDA

UX research and redesign for the reliability and maintenance system a large manufacturer in Thailand uses to plan maintenance and run work requests. We mapped how its maintenance teams work, designed and tested a new flow against the current one with six end users, and delivered 26 ranked findings, a design system and a guideline for its developers.

The back office behind EVolt’s charging station map: EVolt’s team manages every station, provider and charging socket in one place, and charging points on the EVolt network update live. MERCIL also designed an on-site system to control and monitor charging over OCPP.

  • Custom software or off-the-shelf: how to decide

Feature lists make ready-made products look like the safe choice. A better test is how far your process is from the one the product was built for, and who pays for the difference.

  • What system integration really costs

Quotes for the same integration can differ tenfold between vendors. Most of the difference comes from what each quote leaves out.
